Need A Ride?
Set in a fantastical version of the 1990s, Need A Ride? is a short visual novel following the adventures of Polly, broken-hearted 20-something on a trip back home.
When Polly's relationship falls apart, she's faced with the humiliating reality of moving back in with her father. She embarks on her cross-country trip home with nothing but two boxes and a suitcase for company.
Along the way, she makes some unexpected friends... and realizes she's more capable than she thought she was.
This proof-of-concept covers Polly's first two days on the road and the first new friend she meets! It was released as part of NaNoRenO 2023. All demo assets were made between March 1st and March 31st, 2023.

Cute game, really fun
I enjoyed this roadtrip :)
Really liked the character design and the backgrounds with that texture over them. The storyline is pretty good as well. The only thing I'd improve is the UX, having to click in a small button in the bottom right corner is kinda annoying and de choices are very small within the textbox. I like it in general tho. Congrats!
Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed it!
